• Camera and microphone feeds pass between the two people in a pairing, and nothing of that stream is retained on our side.
• The text inside a match ends with the match. There is no inbox, no history page and nothing for either side to reopen later.
• An account is optional. Creating one simply lets a coin balance and your preferences survive a change of device.
• We use cookies and similar storage for keeping you signed in, remembering settings, and understanding traffic in aggregate.
• We do not sell personal information, and we do not publish a profile page about you.

Technical information arrives automatically with any web request: an IP address, a browser and device type, a rough location derived from the IP, and timestamps. This is what makes it possible to route a video call, block abuse and keep the service up.

Account information exists only if you create an account. That is typically a sign-in identifier and whatever display name you choose. A coin balance and purchase history attach to it.

Usage information covers how the service is used rather than what was said: when a match started and ended, which features were opened, whether a report was filed. It is what we look at to see whether the site is working.

Reports and moderation records are kept when someone reports a session, because a report is useless if the evidence for it disappears the moment the call ends.

We do not store a recording of your video or audio as a routine part of the service. Live streams are relayed between two people, not archived for later viewing.

We do not keep the text exchanged inside a match after the match ends, and we do not build a searchable history of who you were paired with.

We cannot, however, control what the other person does on their own device. Anyone on any video service can point a second camera at their screen. That limit is described honestly on the safety page, and it is worth keeping in mind when deciding what to show.

• To measure traffic and performance in aggregate so the service can be improved.
• To meet legal obligations where a law actually requires it.

Cookies and browser storage keep you signed in, remember preferences such as whether you dismissed a prompt, and support aggregate analytics. Blocking them in your browser is possible, and the site will still run, but some conveniences will reset every visit.

Analytics tools tell us how many people arrived, what they opened and where things broke. They are configured for aggregate measurement, not for building a profile of an individual.

We share information with service providers who make the site work — hosting, content delivery, payment processing for coin purchases, and analytics. They handle it on our instructions and for no other purpose.

We disclose information where a valid legal request requires it, or where it is necessary to investigate abuse, fraud or a threat to someone safety.

We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

Technical logs are kept for a limited period and then discarded. Records tied to an account and its purchases last as long as the account does, plus whatever period accounting and legal duties demand. Moderation records tied to a report are kept long enough for the report to mean something.

If you close your account, the account data goes with it, subject to those obligations.

• Use the site without an account, in which case there is very little attached to you at all.
• Ask for a copy of what is held about your account, or ask for it to be corrected.
• Ask for your account and its data to be deleted.
• Turn off cookies in your browser, accepting that some settings will not persist.

CamSurfCam is intended for adults. Information from anyone below that age is not knowingly retained, and any account traced to a minor is pulled. Suspect you have matched with one? Report from inside the call so moderation sees it fast.

Any revision shifts the date printed above. Substantive edits get described in plain language instead of hidden in a changelog.
